MUBIN cotton buffalo plaid rug
The MUBIN is a black and white buffalo plaid rug in handmade cotton, with a flat weave and a low pile. Its item weight is 1.7 pounds and its dimensions are 43 by 27 inches. The specification table lists both indoor and outdoor usage and a water resistance level of water resistant. The rug is foldable and reversible, and the rooms named include the entryway, kitchen, laundry room, patio, and porch.
The bullets say the rug is meant to sit beneath an 18 by 30 inch doormat, and they describe the cotton as soft and durable for daily use. Cleaning is by gentle machine wash, by hand, or by vacuum. The bullets do not describe a backing.
MontVoo 5×7 polypropylene outdoor rug
The MontVoo is a 5 by 7 foot rug in a neutral brown, with dimensions of 84 by 60 inches. The bullets state that it is 100 percent high-density flat-weave polypropylene, and the specification table lists a flat weave, a low pile, and a machine-made construction. The rooms listed are the balcony, living room, patio, and porch. The rug is described as fade resistant, quick drying, shed resistant, tear resistant, and weather resistant.
The water resistance conflict is the main point to check. The specification table says not water resistant, while the title and bullets call the rug weather resistant and describe a quick-dry, low-maintenance surface. The bullets also explain how to take out fold creases: roll the rug pile side out, secure it with straps for a few days, then lay it flat with weight on top. The listing says the creases are temporary and not a product defect. No weight is stated.
Lahome checkered 3×5 outdoor patio rug
The Lahome is a 3 by 5 foot checkered rug in black, with a machine weave and a low pile. The specification table lists indoor and outdoor usage, water resistance, and special features that include foldable, non-shedding, non-slip, stain resistant, and washable. The rooms named include the bedroom, entryway, home office, living room, and patio.
The bullets describe a checkerboard design with a farmhouse look, and a TPE non-slip backing. They say the rug is non-shedding and washable and that it works indoors and out. No weight is stated.
SAFAVIEH washable courtyard rug
The SAFAVIEH is a 4 by 5 foot 7 inch rug from a courtyard collection. Its title describes an outdoor courtyard rug, but the specification table lists indoor usage and water resistance. The bullets describe machine-woven enhanced synthetic fibers that are stain, weather, and UV resistant, and say the rug suits everyday indoor or outdoor high-traffic use. No weight is stated.
How these listings were chosen
The research set held the MUBIN and the MontVoo, and the Lahome and SAFAVIEH were added from checks dated 2026-10-20. The Lahome and SAFAVIEH give the set a third and fourth size and a second washable option. Each listing states indoor and outdoor usage or outdoor use in some field, so all four were kept. Conflicts on water resistance and usage are printed for each listing.
Worked example: floor area and the water resistance wording
The MontVoo measures 84 by 60 inches, which is 5,040 square inches or 35 square feet. The MUBIN measures 43 by 27 inches, or about 8.1 square feet. The MontVoo therefore covers about 4.3 times the MUBIN’s floor on the stated sizes. The Lahome, at 3 by 5 feet or 15 square feet, sits between the two, and the SAFAVIEH at about 22 square feet sits in the middle of the group.
The water resistance wording is a different sort of check. The MontVoo’s specification table reads not water resistant, and the MUBIN’s reads water resistant. Neither listing gives a test method. A buyer who expects rain or a hose should use the bullets as the description of the product and then confirm the specification field on the product page, since the two fields disagree for the MontVoo.
What the listings do not say
The MontVoo listing states no weight, and the MUBIN is the only listing in this set with a stated weight. The Lahome and SAFAVIEH listings give no weight, and neither gives a material name beyond the general fiber description. The SAFAVIEH’s title and specification table disagree on indoor or outdoor use. None of the four gives a pile height in inches. The MUBIN bullets are written for a doormat layer, while the MontVoo bullets describe a patio and deck rug, so the two listings are used for different tasks.
